City of Bryan endorses third-party sewer line warranty program
Tuesday, March 13, 2012

The City of Bryan has once again coordinated efforts with Service Line Warranties of America (SLWA) to inform residents of a Service Line Warranty program. City of Bryan residents will see offers in their mail boxes soon for this program (see sample letter here). This program is provided through the National League of Cities and is administered by SLWA. The Service Line Warranty program provides low cost, worry free warranty protection for sewer lines.

Purchase of warranty coverage is optional and is limited solely to residential customers. The cost for citizens who choose to purchase warranty protection is $5.25 per month, and will cover sewer line repairs up to $4,000 plus an additional allowance of $4,000 for public street cutting, if needed.

The City of Bryan has no responsibility or liability for the Service Line Warranty program. The City has partnered with SLWA solely for the purpose of providing its residents with a discounted rate. The City does not receive any financial compensation from premiums paid. Additionally, no public funds will be spent by the City for marketing or administration of SLWA’s Service Line Warranty program.

Residents may have recently received service line warranty information from a provider other than SLWA. It is important to note that the City of Bryan has not reviewed or endorsed enrollment materials or services offered by this provider. SLWA is the only warranty service provider recognized by the City. The City’s logo and mailing address will be displayed on SLWA’s enrollment forms to help customers distinguish SLWA from other service providers.
