Making Utility Line Services Program Available for Residents

Union City has partnered with the National League of Cities (NLC) and Service Line Warranties of America (SLWA) to provide the Service Line Warranty program to homeowners. The program provides warranty protection for water lines.
Many homeowners do not realize they are responsible for water lines expanding from their homes to the utility connection. The cost to repair a broken line may place hardship on a family’s budget. This new program will offer warranty protection to help cover the costs of a break. It also offers citizens an affordable way to avoid the unexpected and often large expense involved with a water line break.
“We are pleased to partner with Service Line Warranties of America in bringing peace of mind to homeowners in Union City through this important program. It offers several features and benefits, including 24/7 repair service using local, certified technicians. This keeps dollars in the local economy, an important benefit in these tough financial times,” said Councilman Vince Williams.
The program is offered at no cost to the City of Union City. Service Line Warranties of America will offer homeowners a monthly savings of 5% on their standard monthly price.
