When Viola customer Ida R. saw a neighbor having water line work done in their Orangeburg, New York, neighborhood, she was curious.
When she asked about it, she learned that her neighbor had an emergency home repair plan through a partnership between Veolia, their local water utility, and HomeServe. HomeServe had dispatched one of their reliable network contractors, Sasso Plumbing and Heating Corp., to repair the line. Best of all, the repair was covered under their plan, so it didn’t cost them anything.
“My neighbor up the street had work done, and they raved and spoke highly of Sasso,” she said. “I looked into the repair plans myself and then decided to sign up.”
It was a smart move, because, since enrolling in the plans, she has saved more than $4,000 on several repairs around her home, including having 60 feet of new cold water pipe installed in her house and having her basement drain unclogged. Most recently, she had 40 feet of her exterior water service line replaced too.
“When I called, I felt like they listened to me and were very empathetic,” she said.
She was pleased to have Sasso dispatched to her home for all her repairs.
“They showed up on time, actually, they showed up a little bit early,” she said. “They are very straight forward, if they say they’re coming a certain time, they will be there. I can’t complain at all. They are to the point, no nonsense, completely thorough and efficient. I was impressed with how clean he left the area.
On her most recent repair, she noticed a leak in the water line that came into her home, but when she tried to turn the water off, she couldn’t. The shut-off valve wasn’t working. In fact, it needed to be replaced as well, Sasso to the rescue once again, saving Ida hundreds of dollars.
“I think this is an excellent service, and I would definitely recommend it,” Ida said.
