Tracy knew the water in her home wasn’t as hot as it could have been in recent days.
Tracy, a homeowner in Roseville, Minnesota, came across an unsettling discovery in recent months. Her home’s water heater, which had been there when she purchased the home, was leaking a bit and rusting as well.
“The leaking and rusting are what caught my attention, but I had also been noticing that the water temperature in my home wasn’t quite as hot as it should have been,” said Tracy. “It was something I swept under the rug for a short period of time before deciding to do something about it.”
That something that Tracy mentioned was to call HomeServe. She had her home’s water heater enrolled in a repair plan by HomeServe that would help to cover its potential repair or replacement, should it be needed. After a quick call to HomeServe’s operations center, a local and reliable contractor, K B Service Company, was dispatched to Tracy’s home.
“The plumbers with K B showed up when they said they would and were extremely professional,” said Tracy. “It wasn’t long until they figured out what was wrong.”
The water heater’s leak was causing the rusting, and multiple valves on the unit also needed replacing. The plumber determined that because of the age and overall condition of the unit, Tracy would need the water heater replaced. Luckily, her repair plan would cover the cost of the diagnostics and part of replacement.
“Ever since the replacement was completed, the water in my home has been hotter than ever,” said Tracy. “What more can you ask for?”
She first recalls hearing of repair plans from HomeServe through her local utility, Xcel Energy, shortly after buying the home. And the water heater repair and replacement assistance plan wasn’t the only one that sparked her interest.
“We also had our furnace repaired by you, and had a wonderful experience as well,” said Tracy. “I’ve yet to have anything but positive things to say about the service.”
