At AESP’s Annual conference, our own CEO Tom Rusin, took the stage alongside leaders from the Southeast Energy Efficiency Alliance (SEEA), Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), CLECO, AESP and the Louisiana State Energy Office to discuss opportunities ahead of the Southeast region.
With new funding coming down the pike, one challenge looms – workforce development.
“As a nation, we have a dramatic trade shortage, and we need to make trades as sexy as going to college.” – Tom Rusin
We, along with our skilled contractors and trusted trade ally network, are invested in ensuring our readiness for our community needs and advancement in infrastructure.
Tom also highlighted the benefits of our HomeServe Advantage program. Partners find value in the innovative model that makes modern energy efficiency equipment simple, affordable, and more appealing to customers. The program is an opportunity to not only respond to a customer problem but provide a solution that upgrades their current equipment. Win – win!
Business Development Vice President Bob McGrath continued the conversation on the skilled labor gap and its impacts in the Northwest specifically at Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA) – Efficiency Exchange 2023. Talks also focused on connecting with the communities we serve and developing best practices for reaching underserved and rural communities.
While Bob was in the Northwest, across the country, teammate Aimee Estrabillo traveled to Charlotte, NC, to do what we do best – focus on the customer – and represent the team at CS Week Conference 47. A highlight of CS Week was the Women in Utilities – Perspectives on Passages Navigating Change in Positive Ways, which featured relatable stories of impactful female leaders we can all learn from as we grow, adapt and change with an ever-evolving world.
