When Linwood, a Beaufort-Jasper Water and Sewer Authority customer from Bluffton, South Carolina arrived back at his home after being away for a few days, he came across a wet spot on the hardwood floor in his kitchen. When the wet spot kept spreading over the next few days and was warm to the touch, Linwood realized that there was a severe problem.
However, a few years back, Linwood proactively enrolled in HomeServe’s Interior Plumbing and Drainage plan offered through Beaufort-Jasper Water and Sewer Authority.

The leak was coming from the hot water supply line, which was compromised at one of the pipe joints.
