South Carolina State Partnership Team
It’s well known that South Carolina is facing significant challenges with water and wastewater infrastructure, and homeowners are at increased risk of costly and unexpected service line issues. That’s why so many South Carolina municipalities have turned to HomeServe programs to help protect their residents. Our programs educate homeowners about their service line responsibilities and offer optional, affordable repair plans. If an issue occurs, repairs and replacements are performed by local, licensed plumbers.

“The Charleston Water System has proudly partnered with HomeServe for the past twelve years to offer homeowners optional and affordable protection plans for their exterior water and sewer lines,” said Mike Saia, Public Information Administrator.
“This program has been invaluable in not only shielding homeowners from unexpected repair costs but also educating them about their responsibilities for private service lines on their property. Homeowners with coverage have expressed high satisfaction with the program, praising both the responsiveness of the contact center and the professionalism of the service technicians handling repairs. We view this as a vital and beneficial program for our residents. In addition, revenue from our partnership with HomeServe supports our bill pay assistance program that keeps the water on for people most in need and allows us to contribute to worthy charitable causes, all without utilizing ratepayer funds.”
