The Volunteer State Partnership Team
It’s well known that Tennessee is facing significant challenges with water and wastewater infrastructure, and homeowners are at increased risk of costly and unexpected service line issues. That’s why so many Tennessee municipalities have turned to HomeServe programs to help protect their residents. Our programs educate homeowners about their service line responsibilities and offer optional, affordable repair plans. If an issue occurs, repairs and replacements are performed by local, licensed plumbers.

Red Boiling Springs Residents’ High-Water Bill Resolved by ServLine
Ken, a Red Boiling Springs resident, had already moved out of his home and was on the verge of selling it when a large water bill hit his mailbox.
The $400 outstanding water bill from Red Boiling Springs Utilities could complicate things because the bill arrived within a short time of receiving an offer on his home. So, he made a call to his utility to sort the issue out.
Although he wasn’t aware of it, his local utility had partnered with ServLine to provide leak protection services for their customers. For a small monthly fee, Ken and his neighbors were protected against unexpected and unusually high water bills caused by faulty plumbing…
Muddy Lawn Indication of Hidden Water Service Line Leak
Ken G. of Hermitage, Tennessee, often spent time away from his home during the winter months. As a retiree, it wasn’t a problem for him to secure his home and enjoy himself somewhere else.
Unfortunately, after one of Ken’s trips, he came home to an unpleasant surprise – a wet and muddy lawn. It was bad news for Ken, because his soggy lawn hadn’t been caused by a rainstorm, but by a broken water service line connecting his home to the Gladeville Utility District’s water distribution system.
“When I got back, I could see where the water had run into the yard, there was a muddy spot,” Ken said. “The water line had broken halfway between the house and the road, and it was on my side, and it was my responsibility.”
